not a maxima but need help (altima)

i tried talking about this on the altima forums but it seems dead there. i figured since i have the same combo(almost) as the 7th gen maxima vq35+cvt i would ask here. anyways long story short...i ran my 07 altima 3.5se with cvt at the 1/4 mile strip and stock did 14.2@99. did intake ypipe and exhaust and reset the ecu then drove 500 miles. went back and ran 14.19@99mph..lol..same weather conditions too. so i guess the vq motor gains nothing from bolt ons? im lost....i have about 75k on my car. was 500 miles not long enough for the ecu to adjust to the mods?

I know the ECU pulls throttle at 85mph and doesn't allow full throttle till 30mph so maybe the gains aren't enough to overcome being governed the first 200 ft and last 1/8 mile of the track. Just a theory.
I hate that drive by wire.

one user on the Altima forums posted up a graph of his car speed and throttle and ya at around 85 the throttle line drops very little and stays small until about 100 then it starts dropping more drasticly. So if the drop don't start until 85 then my 1/8 mph should be more then 79 since im still full throttle for another 6mph lol. But either way the line drop is small until past 100mph so I should still see gains for the 1/4 mile trap speed. But im thinking what was hurting me was I was hot lapping this time around vs the last time when I was stock and did not hot lap. If I was stock and hot lapping then my times would of been a lot slower im guessing. Either way im going to go back out there and try again and let the car cool down more. Also the graph I was talking about he did another run with ETC(electronic throttle control) turned off using the uprev tuning program and ran his car to 160mph and it stayed full throttle the whole way. But I don't want to pay 700 bucks for a program just to turn off one setting lol.
