2002 infiniti I35 in 1/8th mile

Tomorrow I'm going to the drag strip with my mostly stock 2002 i35. It is not the sport but I have a block off plate and modded air box. Tires have 30% tread so will I be able to get into the singles if I hook up?how can I help hooking on the track?

Here you go.

You're probably going to get frustrated by going out there with bald tires.

Eh, bald tires have caught 2.1s / 2.2s down here.

Hell they were bald 215/55/15s AS tires IIRC

Tire PSI was like 15 though

Haha I see we'll I'll try and get my 60' the best I can. Should I leave traction on or turn it off?

I just ran my 03 last week, it was a 1/4 mile track but shows time for 1/8th as well which was 9.86 for me. my 60' was 2.22 and my 1/4 mile was 15.31 @ 89.9

The car is completely stock

Hmm I lowered my front tire pressure to 26 removed my air filter and tube, and removed spare tire. If you didn't try launching in first then shifting at 6200. These cars are really quick for what they are

I doubt you can get a 14 in these stock, even with the perfect conditions. When Car and Driver tested it brand new, they also got a 15.3 so I was happy with my results. Youre 1/4 mile woulda been the same or maybe a 15.2 at best

Yea I have few bolt ons and our engines are broken in now unlike car and drivers. Getting exhaust soon so could break 14. I raced a 2003 acura tl types and those run 14.7 in 1/4 and I beat him 30-120mph

racing from a roll and a dig are completely different. Our motors are torquier which gives us an advantage from a roll. Would need to do a hell lot more to our cars to shave .5 secs off a 1/4 mile time. Would like to see a stock I35 run sub 15 and what they did to it
