Continental VS. Bridgestone

I am looking for stock size 215/55/16 tires.... from what I read, the two best in terms of wear, handling and noise are the bridgestone potenza RE950 with uni-t AQ-II or Continental ContiExtremeContacts.
Any Suggestions? My Toyo's light up something ferociuos when I bang out 2nd gear.

Purchased these tires a month or so ago....... so far so good. I have put at least 1,500 miles on them, driven in the rain, driven 140, and have done some full on stops with them and overall I have been more than impressed. I would highly recommend this tire to others.

Well I'm going to be getting the Continentals soon (just bought 2k2 SE's). I'm looking to get 245/45/17 as they dont have the 225/50/17 stock size. Is that going to be okay? sorry to steal your thread, but I guess I'm trying to say get the Conti's.

I was making the same comparsion earlier and I've deciede to give the Extres a try, because the snow rating on tirerack is much higher. I was currently running 225/50/16 RE950's on my stock rims. They were great tires but they didn't do very well in the snow at all. But my cars alignment didn't help its -2.2 deg in front with 1/8" toe out. The inside were a also worn.

The reason I don't have the extremes now is they are on back order until November. So I had to mount my old Bridgestone S-02's on my stock rims for the time. I love the S-02's my car handles soooo well now. I do recommend running at least a 7" rim with the S-02 since they're so wide.

Good Luck
