CV axle on manual transmission

Just want to check with this forum if anyone knows if the 88 CV axle on the manual transmission uses the same as the Automatic. A lot of part store is for automatic since a friend of mine has a 1988 and his axle is shot and he trying to get a new one but no one has it.

looks like it

if they get one from rock auto be sure to double check the dust cover the last few that I have gotten have had the wrong dust cover and it will lock against the knuckle

they should be able to have it in store within a few days

quick question, is it the outside that is shot, I will be needing the outside parts and don't really want to buy the whole thing just for the outside parts....

the axle was completely broken apart, since the car has over 180k miles so the axle is pretty much done for. We checked with Autozone and they showed for automatic, so we tried it and it did not work. Seem like we have to go to a machine shop to get a axle work for the manual

I think they are the same for a few cars like stanza, sentra, G20, might be a few different lengths but I know the hubs are all the same...... if you pull the part numbers from rock auto for the different brands you might be able to track them down easier, like I said the only issue I have come across is the dust shield being different so you have to take the one off and put the old one on but they are out there
