FS: complete original Greddy 3rd gen 2.5" bolt-on catback
This catback was one of the first mods I ever did to my original VE back 15 years ago and even back then the kit was something like $600 new.
I think this catback was from Greddy's "SP" line but not certain of that as it's been 15 years. The muffler is stainless steel but the rest of the piping is not. Spent its entire life in Texas so rust is not an issue however. It's also just been sitting in my attic for the past 7 or 8 years now.
I never thought I'd consider selling this but I'm realizing I will almost certainly never use this exhaust again. My turbo VE has a full 3" exhaust and my black VE will be staying totally stock. So, if I'm honest with myself I'm realizing I'll never use the Greddy again.
Sounds phenomenal, no annoying droning, quiet at idle, and sounds awesome at WOT. Also - since this system was designed FOR the 3rd gen it is not plagued with a common issue the 3rd gen suffers with: droopy aftermarket muffler syndrome. Greddy has a high entrance/low exit on the muffler. This means the muffler is actually parallel with the ground rather than slanted downward like you may have noticed most "performance" mufflers hang on the 3rd gen.
I dare say this is the first complete Greddy up for sale in at least 5 years and probably the last one that will ever be up for sale:
Here it is on my old black VE:
Bottom of the tip/muffler has some scratches and whatnot (coming out of driveways when I used to be really low) but otherwise the setup is in great shape. I will take pictures of the complete unit later tonight but need to pull it down from the attic first and I'm at work right now.
*edit* Shipping on this is much, much, much higher than I anticipated. In light of that:
$300 plus shipping
Or if you are in DFW area you can pick-up/meet up to get it for $300 cash.

I forgot that I ALSO have just the muffler section from a Greddy catback.
I came across this one in a junkyard 3rd gen - for some reason they had the muffler welded to stock piping.
I'll also point out that this one is marked Trust (rather than Greddy) but I'm sure most of you know that Trust = Greddy. Greddy is a subdivision of Trust.
Anyway - $150 shipped on this one if anybody is interested:

If it says "Trust" on it then it's really old muffler since the early GReddy exhaust were all tagged with Trust.
All the stuff is in really good shape James. good luck on the sale...best exhaust for the 3rd gen IMO.
