Changing transmission seals/gaskets?
I had my transmission rebuilt a few years ago, but since then it leaks. Took it back 2x, they got it to stop leaking for a few months, but then it started again, both times, second time out of warrenty.
I took off my air filter to try to find the transmission ground, and noticed that it looks like it's leaking from the top of the transmission, which in the FSM, looks pretty easy to take apart.
Would it be as simple as just unscrewing the bolts on the top, and putting a new gasket in there? Or is there more to it?

There's a vent tube around that area...make sure it's not shooting fluid out of there.
there is a gasket for the pan (IIRC). dab a thin coating of RTV on it to help seal it. the metal flange on the top pan might be a little bent so you might have to tap it flat on an anvil or something to get a clean flat surface.

Yeah sorry, VG automatic.
Thanks, those are good ideas- hadn't though that the hose might be spraying out the fluid if it is overfilled, so I'll clean off everything as best as I can, and try to find if it's coming out of the overflow, or actually through the top of the transmission.
Do you know offhand where the transmission is grounded? I'm pretty sure I unhooked it when I replaced the front oil gasket(??) but haven't been able to find it again!

if you mean on the tranny just throw it on any metal part that's not sealing fluid.
