My GXE will be flipping to the 230k on the next tank of gas. It's actually running better now than it has ever before in the last ~16 years I've owned it, but I have been fixing it up to sell it (although I will admit I am having scond thoughts now). Brake pads, just installed Carbotech Bobcats, are absolutely amazing (and keep getting better as they bed in) compared to the pads on there before (which seemd to be lasting forever, but had poor performance and made an awful "grinding" noise whenever used moderately or above).
The other thing I fixed up that is a major improvement are new bushings (I did energy suspension) front a-arm bushings. Turns out the left rear one was worn enough to be making knocking/clunking noises I never could figure out for the last 16 years I owned it... Until now.
And also getting all the power windows working again makes the car feel downright luxurious. (Needed some regulators to make the rears work AND some refurbishment to the master window switch to make them all work reliably.
Good stuff! Also have been detailing the car really well. I cleaned the heck out of the wheels and they are looking really decent now. Debating whether to fix a crack in the front windshield. Front swaybar bushings (aftermarket poly) need some re-lube. The motor just keeps going and going.

yes I own 3 ve's. and a spare ve motor. only 1 has any mods. intake exhaust lowering springs and so on. nothing major yet. the other 2 ve's just have exterior led light mods. turn signals side markers brake lights and reverse lights. all changed to led bulbs. one ive had for like 9 years another year and a half and the last one like 2 months since i bought it off a customer from where i work at who had to sell it or send it to the salvage yard.

Wow, I'm jealous. Took my 92SE from 104k to 162k then junked when the tranny went. Had it for 6 years, and it lasted for 20 years. Best car I ever owned! Though my '97 I30 was definitely smoother, and is still going at 170k+. My current daily is an 02 gle at 104k, loving it more and more every day!

Not to burst any bubbles, but to clarify - 311,000 kilometers is 193,000 miles. Still to be commended for keeping these cars going. My "new" black VE 5 speed has 240k miles and going strong
