I drive 01 max and I am curious to know how often do we have to have fuel injection clean? is it after 60k or 30k....please help.
and adding a fuel cleaning treatment in tank helps anything to improve?

they say to add a bottle of fuel injection cleaner every 3k miles....i dunno if its real or just a marketing technique...

and i believe every 60k u should get your injectors serviced by a professional

I put in a bottle of Techron before every oil change -- which for me using Mobil 1 is every 7.5 K miles. There have been some technical reports that fuel-injector cleaners have a tendency to increase the viscosity of motor oil in the car being treated. Not certain I believe that, but it is easy to use the same mileage as an oil change to also do a fuel-injector cleaning routine. And in the event that these cleaners do increase the motor-oil viscosity, I'm covered.

I would only pay for the injectors to be removed and cleaned if I were having problems with them. I personally believe that using Techron on a consistent basis, I will never need to have the injectors removed for cleaning. Time will tell.

yeah, you shouldn't have to worry too much about injectors...i mean modern day injectors are pretty reliable...they don't have the tendancy to just break down....it takes quite alot of miles for them to actually need servicing....thats assuming u keep good gasoline in the tank...and u keep up with other regular maintenance...like fuel filters especially...a bottle of techron wouldn't hurt either...bg44k if u wanna go ***** out

Fuel power or techron, FP=3 out of 5 tanks, but its priced right to do that, techron=every 3-5k miles depending

See, that why I never go to places like that, b/c there are idiots working/running the place. If you knew which end was up you would know that your feeding that cleaner through the air intake and not the fuel injectors, that may clean the valves, but it sure won't clean the injectors.

Good news however for people with 10% ethanol in the gas. There should be no need to add injector cleaner anymore, since the ethanol already does a good job of cleaning them. Why do I know this? I'm using a K&N fuel filter that I take apart to clean every so often, and since we've switched to an ethanol additive my filter has been spotless! Chances are the filter on our injectors will also be clear.

if you use Techron or Gumout Regane (or really any solvent based FI cleaner) be sure to use them about 500 miles before an oil change. these are strong solvents and some will blow by into your crankcase, which is hard on the bearings. so best to use it, and then dump the oil.

Ya, and Valvoline Racing 60 weight oil is good too, it's used by NHRA Top Fuel and Funny Cars, anything to say about that?

Never used Valvoline in my cars though

I've already used maxlife (valvoline) fuel injector cleaner twice....should I continue with MAXLIFE VALVOLINE or can i switch it to somthing better in brand and performance if yes then what would u recommend? if u say (techron) then does it has to be added before the oil change or after?

i throw in a BG 44k can whenever i feel like it. And also use the BG professial cleaning whenever i feel like it as well. It really doesn't do crap. I never did it before and then when i started i used it heavily to clean out w/e was there. I get the same MPG, i get the same idle, no change. I just feel a little better when i do it. Plus it free for me.

Correct. There are some reports that fuel injector cleaners change the viscosity of the motor oil, which is why you should use them just before an oil change.

There are other reports that when some of the cleaner fluid ends up in the motor oil they cause other problems.

So be safe and change your oil after you have run out most of the tank of gasoline that you put in your tank after adding the fuel injector cleaner. Also wait until you have filled that tank up again with fresh gasoline. Then do your oil change.

I did the BG44k a few times when i got my car used. BG44k grave me slightly better mpg the first time. But I only use 93+ petrol and I agree with TurTLe, it hasn't made a difference since then that I could notice. I just feel like I did something good for the maxima.

My flatmate used it on his corolla and those guys fill in the cheapest petrol they can find. He put in a can of BG44K and his car was much more responsive. Better starting and MPG.
