Just bought a car but dont want these parts on it
HI Im new to the org, was given the site from a coworker. I bought a 1997 se, auto but I think the previous owner raced or something. The following parts came with the car and im selling them, please help me on pricing etc.
Whatever a catback exhaust is its too damn loud. Brand is greddy its stainless steel $300 firm
A set of foglights $75 shipped
Extra set of taillights not broken $40
Headlights $50
Also there was a computer in the box it says Apex Air flow controller, I have no idea what these parts are so I guess someone here can use them, im not into racing. Anything else I find ill post but I want these stuff gone I can negotiate on price. $100 for this airflow monitor.

Hey its a vafc2. I did some research and this thing sells for $299 bnib. Also how much will it cost to put a oem exhaust system to replace the greddy kit? Please help me out if im under or over pricing items. Hopefully I can some parts in the future if ever needed. Thanks again

See people i bought the car from a auction and it was a trunk full of parts that I listed and some others not listed. Someone here on the org said that the vafc2 sells for $80 used. I dont wont to get taken advantage of so please give me advice on prices now and the best way to sell these items without a hassle. I have a paypal etc.

Either search eBay for approximate prices or look in the past ads in this section to gauge your prices off on.
VAFCII will go for 150 all day long on eBay.
Posting pictures goes a long way when it comes to selling stuff.

How much should I sell this Greddy catback for. How much is shipping usually. I want to put a stock system on asap

Pic isnt loading for me. Try using tinypic or photobucket, for some reason photobucket doesnt cooperate with me but tinypic has never failed.
Greddy exhaust can go anywhere from 180-250ish before shipping. FYI if its too loud for your taste see what other exhaust components are on the car - you might have a test pipe instead of a catalytic converter for example (not $$) or you may be "lucky" and have headers on the car (definately $$).
As far as prices, you will be taken advantage of here and anywhere else. Use google and ebay to get a ballpark estimate of the items worth. If not much is turning up or its a maxima specific item, use the search bar at the top of the page and type "(item xyz) for sale" or similar search terms and browse the threads that turn up - more recent threads will be closer to the current value but keep in mind that these cars are 20 years old, and that prices are *not* dropping in most cases because those parts are not produced anymore.
Hope this helps. Certainly do a full sweep of your car for anything that looks aftermarket or that is nice and youre willing to sell - some of the items you listed are fairly rare which leads me to believe you might have your hands on some good parts left from the previous owner.

parts update
Hi everyone, im updating my ad. I also found a exedy stage 2 clutch, a slave cylinder along with what looks like drilled front rotors... Im willing to sell everything because im not into racing and stuff. Clutch kit $80 shipped, rotors $75 shipped, those foglights I have $60 shipped and the Greddy exhaust $250 + shipping or $120 for just b pipe. My car is down so I hope I sell quick.

You may wish to consider taking a ton of pics of the engine bay, exterior and interior. There may be parts that look ordinary to you but are infact pretty rare and sought after.
Either way pics of the items you are selling helps. Glws

Hi im not sure what the previous owner was doing but my cousin said maybe the person was doing some sort of manual transmission swap because here are some other parts we found.
1. An exedy stage 2 clutch $80
2. A Ecu marked 98 5spd $75
3. Flywheel. $50
4. Extra alterntor. $75
5. Brand new a/c compressor $100
6.a clutch slave cylinder and reservoir. $50
7. Manual transmission shifter and linkage rod $40
8. Manual shifter boot .

Thanks for the advice I can sell them for $40 shipped maybe. Its a one piece braided line not oem I suppose

285 isnt bad if the whole exhaust but that sounds like just the cost of the parts for a catback and not including labor. Again id double check to see if the car has a test pipe instead of a catalytic converter - ive had the greddy sp2 catback exhaust on two cars, one with and one without a cat, and the difference in sound is HUGE - with a cat its really tame while with a testpipe its almost obnoxious sounding (in my humble opinion).
Id highly consider keeping the exhaust, considering youd be paying what youd make off the greddy if not more to get an exhaust that is far cheaper in quality and performance. See what other sections of the exhaust if any are aftermarket before you make any choices.
Also if you have more specific questions feel free to shoot me a pm and ill help you out with anything that is within my knowledge - this section of the forum is really for strictly straight sales so asking tons of questions here probably isnt the best place to be doing so.
Again glws, sounds like you got quite the solid purchase at the auction.

1st Max,
It's quit obvious that you are GhostI30, or related to GhostI30, as you're selling the exact items and are located in the same town. I asked you a question, you logged in two days ago, chose not to respond and have gone quiet every since.
Not to mention that your story doesn't add up. You bought the car at any auction with a trunk full of parts? And now your parts list is growing and growing by the day? I don't think so....
Plus there is other evidence which I won't go into at this time.
Anyone that bought parts from this person, I hope you used Paypal and didn't gift the $$. If you don't receive your items within the next several weeks, or the items aren't as described, file a Paypal claim and escalate it instantly.
