I was relaying my rca cords and when I went to take my seat out, there was a wire under there. Does anyone know what that is? Could that be a heated seat hook up up wire? If so I'm going to get one and put it in before I get my leather. I have a GXE. Thanks

Kevin

More details would be helpful. A wire? Probably more than one. Did they terminate in a connector? How many terminals? What color plastic? What color wires?

What you found could be a seat heater supply. It could also be a "this seat occupied" switch.

So if this wire is for heated seats and I have it what would be involved in getting them? Completly new seats or what?

Which seat did you find it under? Do you have powered drivers seat? I have a GXE also with powered driver seat and under the passenger seat, theres also a wire, I'm pretty sure that its a pre-wired for powered seats, like on the GLE.

Okay, I looked under the passanger seat. It is 2 wires tied together. black and yellow. They run into a white connector.

You might be in luck: I have a wire in my hand which came off the passenger seat on a 97 with leather. I bought these and am trying to install them in my 95 SE but can't find the wire you are referring to in my car. One wire is yellow with a black line, the other is black with silver circles about 1mm wide about every inch and leading to a white connector which has the black one in a vertical position and the yellow one horizontally. Man I'm looking for this wire and cannot find it in my car. I posted and sinewave indicated that my car may not have had the power passenger seat option available, but the FSM shows that I should have this wire and I've looked even under the console and cannot find it.

Where specifically did you find this?

I found that wire hooked up to my seat, under the seat. Is that the wire for power seats? If so how do I go about getting the motor for it? Or, is that the wire for heated seats? The wire is just sitting there.

That is the wire for power seats, which I'm trying to install. What year is your car and what trim level?

I had a SE with cloth, one power seat driverside. I switched it over to leather and the passenger went to power, that actually is for power seats......

You have identified electrical connector B6, located under the driver's seat. It has two wires:
- black (ground)
- yellow with black tracer (power)

This is the connector for the driver's side power seat.
