Where is oxygen sensor bank 2 sensor 2?
I checked the ecu codes on my car with a CReader which threw out the codes:
From CReader Manual:
P0158 - O2 Sensor Circuit High Voltage (Bank 2 Sensor 2)
P0159 - 02 Sensor Circuit Slow Response (Bank 2 Sensor 2)
From Haynes Manual:
P0158 - Downstream oxygen sensor maximum voltage monitor fault
P0159 - Downstream oxygen sensor circuit slow response fault
So my question is... where is this sensor located, and how do you go about changing it? My max is a 99' and I hear that there were O2 changes on the car. If possible, DIY pictures for this how to would be appreciated.
Thanks

bank 2 sensor 2 is after the cat convertor in the b-pipe. also called the post cat or downstream oxygen sensor. bank 1 sensor one is the oxygen sensor in the y-pipe that cylider 1 is on. bank 2 sensor 1 is the oxygen sensor in the y-pipe where cylinder 2 is located.

If your 99 is cali-spec, you have four O2 sensors. There is a sensor before and after each of the two pre-cats. There is no O2 sensor after the main cat like the non-cali-spec 99s or the rest of the 95-98 fourth gens which have 3 sensors.

I have 99 California spec Max.
I recently got it replaced. It is a red wire cover on sensor harness.
I hope it helps. Send me an email at mkothari2@yahoo.com
and I have a pdf file that shows where it is. IT is from factory service manual.
I have it PDF form and I do not think I can attach here.

I have 99 California Spec Maxima.
I had replace rear left oxygen sensor a while ago (code P0158/P0159).
Now I got code P0138/P0139.
I ordered part from Walker generic sensor from oxygensensor.com.
But funny thing happened. I drove about 130 miles on highway and Service Engine Soon light went out. It has not come back yet.
Can anybody explain why this happened.
