I need help. My clutch stuck to the floor last night and I had a hard time getting the car into gear. I put some hydraulic fluid in the resevoir and got enough back pressure in the clutch to be able to make it home. This morning I couldn't get the car into gear at all. I was able to at least back the car out onto the street, by shifting into reverse while the car was off.

Could this be my slave cylinder gone bad ?

Or could it be that the clutch hose needs to be replaced ?

Sounds like the slave cylinder to me... is the clutch slipping at all. look at all the hoses you can to see if there are leaks anywhere. also when you let the car sit for a while look under it to see if theres any fluid on the ground.

Thanks for the reply. I've been noticing a little fluid on the ground. If it is the Slave Cylinder, I found one at Courtesy Nissan for about $40.

Sounds like the slave...how low was the resevoir and did u put brake fluid in it or regular hydrolic fluid....and replacing the line with SS ones isnt a bad idea either....

The resevoir was empty when I put the brake fluid in. How hard is it to change the slave cylinder myself ? I've been thinking about getting the SS lines myself.

slave isnt too bad....can be a pain at times....but if ur res was that low it might just be the line and now there is air in it...but a slave is only 40 bux so its better to do all at once

Slave cylinder is easy.

Take out the black air pipe out. You need to take the battery out too.

Then unscrew the 2 screws on slave cylinder. Unscrew the bolt that connects the line to it. Swap a new one and reverse the procedure.

The slave cylinder bolts are abit of pain to unscrew but if you got a open end wrench you will be fine.
