99 Immobilizer Bypass?

The more I'm reading, the more I'm hoping I can bypass the immobilizer, since maybe it burned out?? My key worked fine--

Does anyone know how to go about bypassing this?
Would something like this work?
http://www.autotoys.com/x/product.php?productid=5177

Or would I have to go to a dealer and ---?

So frustrated.

If u are just trying to add a remote start then that is the part you need. You will have to leave one of your keys in the box to send the code when you remote start. So I hope you have both of your keys. That is what I did for my remote start.
