The car had 75k when we bought it ....day 3 car wouldn't start (had no fire) .... I didn't get a printed ticket of work completed b/c the dealer fixed it on the house --- Service rep did say they replaced the ECU and something else (my wife handled it as I was out of town) -- Car ran and it didn't cost anything ... so fly be free.

I did the rest of the work by reading through this forum. I have been very impressed with the amount of data on this site.

starter
alternator
water pump & radiator - due to not moving/starting the car once during last winter

wheel bearing (driver side)
rear caliper (pass side)

for now im facing the notorious problem that all 4th gens have to deal with... radiator support is eaten up by rust... control arms need to be changed... n my pass axel is screwing with my head... other then that... lol.. runs great!

97 SE, Best Car I've ever had..........

230,000, engine still strong as hell, lots of little stuff, but the rebuilt tranny just bought the farm........so what do you think guys? Should I get it fixed the right way this time? or call it quits and part it out? :}........ok heres a list like everyone elses: control arms, cv joints, tie rods, rotor, calipers, all four sturts. ignition switch, two starters, one alternator, one O2 sensor, water pump, timing chain tensioner, headlight sockets twice, 1st clutch and trans at 220,000. two freakin knock sensors too. oh yea,the Radiator support is still in deep need of replacement and I finally blew the stereo speakers.......lol.....two accidents one my bad, one hers........hit the garage door three times......thats about it.
