R34 Style Headlight Aiming

Hello. I just got my R34 style headlights in from ebay and I was looking at them last night. They look like they bolt right up to the car without the black OEM piece. How do I aim these headlights? I have been looking at them and trying to figure it out for the past 30 minutes. I might just be overlooking something. Help would be appreciated.

on the back of the headlight you will see this little gold screw...tighten it and loosen it and it will move the housing in and out so you can aim it.

Ok. Thanks. Mine came with a bracket with 2 10mm bolts and a gold screw. I assume that is it. Will try it when I get a chance to install.

If you need any help installing them, I am here. I put mine on couple months ago. Fairly easy. Just remember, on mine anyways, the bracket was backwards. The one that said left was actually the right.

That's the plan. Except for the painting part. I have a pair of TSX projectors that are going in this weekend, hopefully.

maximized98: I'll let you know. What part of Birmingham do you live in?

What color is your max? TSXs are sooo nice, but I think TLs and RLs are brighter/bigger diameter...I have 2004 maxima projectors though...thought I'd keep it in the family.

the gold screw that comes separately is not the screw to aim, it's to pull the corner of the housing flush with the car. there is another screw on the back for aiming.

yeah, the one in between the high and low beams is the screw you need. i suggest aiming them before putting them in, if possible. otherwise it's a PITA.

I was wondering what that screw was for. I test fitted one headlight today, and it looked great.

My car is Deep Evergreen. TL's were too expensive for me. Does anyone know how to get the brights and projectors to be on at the same time with these headlights? I came up with a wiring schematic, but not sure if it will work.

maximized98: I am from the Oak Mountain area. Go to school in Tuscaloosa but will be back in Birmingham Saturday.

Just put these headlights on. I have a fit-ment issue that I could use some help with. There is a gap on the top side of the driver side headlight, where the OEM corner light sat. Also, on the same headlight the bracket and the headlight do not line up. I made sure I put the left bracket on the right and visa versa; they weren't labeled correctly. Don't mind the orange chipping off of the light bulb, need new ones. Picture to big to put on here. I could not figure out what was causing this problem.

It seems the headlight sits too far back where it meets the grill. I was thinking of using washers to fix this problem. Has anyone else encountered this? Pic.

Still daylight here, no night pics yet.
