as the title is pretty much self explainetpry, are there and disadvantages from installing, CAI, Y-pipe, or a B pipe?

Yes, it makes a big difference. I was a skeptic at first, as the FSTB didn't do much, but I was very pleasantly surprised.

The difference is night and day, my friend. The car handles like a boat in rough water without one.

If you don't have that much money to blow on mods just invest in a Rear Sway Bar and Y-Pipe and be done with it. Those are the best bang for the buck mods as far as handling and power is concerned.

i got kyb AGX and k-sports ready to be putted on and i got about 600 hundred more to fix the look and the power! after y-pipe and RSb( which I'm def. going to get it what else?!

Try to find the Y-Pipe and RSB used on the forum, you will end up saving quite a bit of cash. Also, make sure you know whether your car is Cali or Fed spec before investing in the Y. Don't forget, the Y-pipe needs to be installed as well. It's a pain in the a$$ if you intend on doing it yourself. You might even need to invest in an 02 sensor or two if the tread strips off them. Do a search if you don't know if your car is Fed Spec...

As a side note, I did notice that my cat-back has a mean bend right before the muffler where it has to clear some metal. The diameter of the pipe gets cut in half at that point. IDK if all Maximas have that or that was just my mechanics attempt at putting on a new muffler for me.

I dont know about Cali spec pipes, but when I put my Budget Y in it was actually pretty easy. Most of the bolts can be broke lose with some decent penetrant, but I will admit I had to take a torch to the cat bolts, and the o2 sensors are definitely at risk if you have a pretty decent amount of miles (my rear one failed immediately after I installed the pipe). I guess the main thing is preparation-I just couldn't justify paying someone else even $50 for the install.
