Sticky request - 5th gen parts on 4th gen

This is a forum linking to which 5th gen parts provide a PERFORMANCE UPGRADE to 4th gens with little to no modification.

1) 00VI - by Ceasars Chariot
2) 2000-1 OEM 5spd Clutch (couldn't find a link, but direct swap)
modenaf1 wrote, "Regarding the clutch...after a certain manufacture date in 2000, not only was the diameter larger but the clamping force was also greater."
Kevlo911 wrote, "VQ30 can use the Clutch off the anniversary edition clutch."
3) Engine - 5th gen VQ30DE-K by Crusher103
4) Engine - 5.5 gen VQ35DE by Dodd
5) 5th gen Transmissions *some modding may be needed* (Thanks Tatanko, Kevlo911)
6) (Kinda related) 2000 Altima 5spd tranny - Gears 1-3 by THT
7) DE-K manifolds (Thanks Kevlo911)
8) Rear suspension (except mount) (Thanks Kevlo911)
9) Front hub and suspension COMBO (Thanks Kevlo911)
10) The 5th gen brakes can be retrofitted (Thanks maxgtr2000)
11) Pretty much any Maxima wheels can be installed on our 4th gens, as well as many other Nissan vehicles. Search.

It all depends on what you consider to be an 'upgrade'.

For some, it's wheels, for some, it's interior parts, others exterior, others performance, etc.

A lot of stuff will swap over, you couldn't list them all without spending a lot of time making the list.

The engines (DE-K and 3.5), the transmissions...dare I say the mufflers?

lol, the muffler is definitely an upgrade, but not performance wise. at least not enough to notice.

short thread since you listed swapping the intakes and engines (i think you exhausted any other "performance" parts) unless...i like a 5.5 gen gauge cluster in a 4th gen -> +1hp on the butt dyno

Regarding the clutch, I remember reading somewhere that after a certain manufacture date in 2000, not only was the diameter larger but the clamping force was also greater.

I can't find the thread or post where it was mentioned, and it may have been a rumor. Can anyone confirm?

Also, part interchangeability might be useful. Things like ABS sensors, knock sensors, parking brake cables, common parts that go bad on 4th gens. Believe it or not I find more wrecked 5th gens and 3rd gens in the yard than I do 4th gens.

Anything will fit, given enough time and modification.

If the I35 seats fit wouldn't the 5th gen seats fit also?
Oh yah, there's a thread about the interior console fitting into a 4th gen, I think they came to the conclusion w/o major modification it aint happenin... But there was a guy who put a I35 cluster in his 4th gen... so could the 5th gen cluster fit into a 4g? Just shootin out ideas... I need to do a search on this...

Also I know it's kinda obvious but the 5th gen rims will fit on a 4th gen, I didn't see it on the list...
[Edit]... Nvm you said "performance" upgrades guess that wouldn't count...

Just make a thread and I will add it to the stickies, Not its own sticky..

On the top of my head:

VQ30 can use the Clutch off the anniversary edition clutch
We can use the engines(vq30 and vq35), trannies(some mods depending on which tranny)
DE-K manifolds
Rear seats
rear suspension(not the mount)
Front hub and suspension COMBO
...

You guys can search and find the links
