Anyone know of any distributors that still have PROGRESS springs?

I called 5 so far and no one has them

#40.1520

Guess if I dont find the Progress springs anywhere, I'll have to settle for H-Techs.

Anyone have any leads on Progress springs? Thanks

They're a bit higher than S-tech, but still seemingly low enough to probably fix my bottoming out issues on these roads.

Are you selling? If so how much? You can PM me.

What color is your car? Would you mind taking some pics? I'd love to see how the drop looks. I was gunna get some GR2s first since my local autoparts store carries them (easily swap out for warranty if they blow), if I dont like them I was gunna get Illuminas!

PM me condition of setup, time installed on vehicle and price shipped to Arlington Heights, IL 60005.

Progress is good dont get me wrong. But there are SOOOOO many springs for our cars. I got the H&Rs and they good. Then there are are Eibachs too. Lots of good namebrand springs out there.

I want to go as low as possible all the while NOT bottoming out like I was with S-techs. Progress is my first choice, and H-techs is second.

People like KSport springs.

I suggest getting coilovers.

You do know the spring isnt the only thing that causes ride quality.... Shock/strut combo plays a big role in it... If i wasnt going to PA in 3 weeks with the max id sell em fairly cheap and buy coilovers..but i cant justify that right now

Another question: apparently theres two versions of the progress springs? The older blue or teal color, and the newer gray or graphite colored? Is there any difference besides color?

KSport springs have better spring rates than S-Techs IIRC. Never looked into them so not 100% sure.

Tein does list the Stechs spring rate, 201f/280r.
Can't find KSport but its a moot point. When you're on the bump stop spring rate, high or low, is pretty irrelevant.

All the 4th gen are gonna be Teal...the 5th gen later versions were Charcoal Grey while the earlier versions were Teal....No difference just color!

As JSutter had informed me via PM this Progress catalog link:

http://www.progressauto.com/2007.Catalog.secured.pdf - Refer to page 2 "A Note About Color" section

For reference the color change seems to be only as simple as a new powdercoating color.

Probably a better powdercoating to prevent rust or wear on the springs....who knows...either way teal is an ugly color lol

well, powdercoating is really all the same strength. it all depends on prep like everything else.

The picture of these 4th gen Progress are of a set I found....and are still muddy....I'll clean them and Paint them if you'll like that.....I was gonna use them personally but these early S-Tein are extremely comfortable and fun which are installed on my "98" 4th Gen, and I know Progress springs are awesome as well, My 5.5th Gen has had them installed for 5-6 years if not more.....

The ride is more harsh on these black springs that I have now then my dropzones, it does matter, matters a lot.

DONT GET EIBACHS. I totallly love the handling of my car with them, but the ride is TERRIBLE. It's fun and confidence inspiring when you are driving spiritedly, but the enjoyment stops when you are commuting. If you are meticulous about performance and think you can endure back jarring ride everyday you can get them. Otherwise get any lowering spring that is comfortable. Oh and dont get GR-2s, they aren't made for drops and will blow out. Get the Illuminas, plus they are adjustable

Agree with Aack, spring rate matters.

But i see Sutter point, if u riding on bumpstops, the ride gonna suck no matter if u got soft or hard springs.

Im tellin u OP, them H&Rs springs are GOOD man. One of the best, if not THE BEST, IMO.

SEARCH. U wont hear anything bad about H&Rs.

The only thing with H&R, people will still come up to you saying "Dude, you need to lower to car"

The ride is nice, but the drop isn't noticable, well to me anyways

Thats the thing with the Progress springs. They seem like it makes the car look lowered still yet at the same time increasing travel from my S-techs.
