HELL, YES!!!

Oh, BTW, I got real lucky with the swap and got a pathfinder TB and a VLSD 5 speed. No big deal.
Congrats.....

Anyone have a link for me on how to get my reverse lights working again?

Bypassed the neutral safety switch, anything to do with that?

This org app on my phone sucks for searching. Thanks.

Edit: found a thread about it, just have to try it.
Going to wire a toggle switch if I can.

$1800 with labor total, and he got my old powertrain. Spent another 500-800 on gas and hotels though. That sucked. Oh, and fu@k Houston traffic!!!

Now I'm dealing with a wiring harness issue.
Out of the 19 codes that popped up after the swap, I was only really worried about the crankshaft position sensor at the moment.

The rest were auto transmission errors and emissions nightmares<-resistors fix?--anyways, I had my mechanic check everything over and he noticed the wires were pinched by the CSPS so he unwrapped the casing and checked for shorts and told be it was fine; tape it up and zip tied it, then it wouldn't start.

He jiggled the harness down below and I got home with a bunch of misfires going on.

So I'm pissed. I've been in contact with my swapper, and he's sending me my old harness which I'm sure I better than the one that was swapped in from the previous car.

From what I understand, I should be able to just swap part of the harness out instead of yanking the whole thing. Edit: yes!

The harness I have now came from a 96? and mine is a 97GLE.
Search SUCKS on this mobile app and I'm wondering if I need to do anything special to rewire anything or am I just plug and play?

You should be running a 5 speed ECU, less codes. I would just cut the smashed bit of harness, and solder in another connector and wires.

I had a short on my csps which prevented my car from starting. From my understanding there shouldn't be too much of rewiring for this harness. It should be near plug and play. I had a 99 and went to a 95manual ecu which I had to change around a couple of pins etc but it makes emissions testing a breeze. I am virtually codeless right now. I have to adjust some signal wire for 02 sensors but that's it!

Give the codes some time. Some of the codes may disappear...

Sounds like a plan. I'm dreaming of an e manage ultimate to tune. Best way I've heard of, but I can't find one. I guess I should wait until I can drive it first.

Thanks for your info. It is appreciated. REALLY hoping its all just plug and go, otherwise I'll ship it out to someone to help a dumba** out.

I just want my Maxima back.

I expected my old harness today, but nothing.

I'm going to move my car somewhere that I can leave it on ramps and try to pull this harness myself.

Grrrrrrrrr. Waiting on my harness still.
I can't even get my car to start now.
I wish I wasn't so intimidated by wiring my car.
About to order a jwt Ecu, have it programed, and my car doesn't even run...
Going to have it towed somewhere I can trust it too...my apartments suck.
I just needed to share my b@*ching.
Good times.

Update. Car has been towed to the shop for the harness, both sides motor/trans mounts and my power steering leak. Fingers crossed.

JWT ECU arrives tomorrow. Sending it in for a reflash to my specs ASAP.
Got a z32 MAF also, but I hear it's overkill for N/A. I'll ask JWT what they think I guess.

Picking up my car today!!
Motor mounts and transmission mount done. Power steering hose replaced, and most importantly; wiring harness swapped out to a working one. After I plug in my JWT ECU, I'm done with it for awhile!

FYI - Revline down by 18th St. in KC is a Nissan-friendly place for a dyno.... I go there.

They're Honda builders, but they tolerate Nissans too..

How's your car running now?

Thanks for the tip. Other than having to baby my clutch, the only problem I'm noticing is some noise during acceleration on my drivers side front. My axle is new, as well as about everything else besides wheel bearings. Good times.
