Suggestions 99 max
picked up a 99 maxima from a dealer about two months ago, has 91k original miles, bought with p1320 code, figured id mention, dealer replaced all 6 ignition coils w/ new hitachi oem coils(upon request after extensive research)they def would have put the aftermarket bs in, codes gone & runs like a champ. body is in great shape other than the ridic cancer on the back fenders(friend has a 1993 f150 w/less cancer lol) shes old but would like to clean her up so any suggestions on how i should go about this would be great, also recommended spark plugs, oil & rotors, plan to buy all 4 rotors pads & possibly calipers..looking for a all black grill w/out the nissan logo, ebay didnt have it..any other suggestions on body, looks or performance would be greatly appreciated..this is my first maxima

The only way to get rid of rust is to cut it out and put new metal in its place. By looking at the pictures, that rust is extensive. The band aid is to grind it down, put a rust neutralizer on and slap it full of plastic. It will look nice for a few years, then your back to square one again or worse as it spreads to the inner body sections.

I live on the west coast. Portland. Over here, the Maximas still look great, they just have high miles.
It might make sense to fly out west for vacation, then drive home in a rust -free car.
Might be more cost effective as well.
My bolts still turn, even the ones on the (original) exaust.

Lmfao, the thought of that is so impossible to be real here in NY its hilarious to me.
As for the new max id say a full tune up couldnt hurt, who knows if it ever got one in its life. The rust should at least be hit with a rust preventer to slow it down, but eventually its going to eat the car unless you cut it out, weld a piece of metal in, and repaint it. Quite a pain for us in the rust belt as the rear fenders are prone to rust and cant be replaced without major bodywork.
