Loud Sounds at 2500 - 3000 RPMS
#1
I have a 97' Maxima SE Automatic, at about 2500 rpms in any gear a loud vibration sound comes from what seems to be the drivetrain. I took it back to the deal a week after I bought it and he said it was the tires making the noise, well I put my aftermarket rims on (ROTA 16' NIRs with Yokohama Avid V4s 225/50/R16) and it still makes the noise. Anybody have any Idea what might be causing this noise?
Thanks

I hope you have a warrantee with your
car... keep records of all your complaints...
I would take it back to the dealer with your new set of tires and have them come up with a better answer/solution.
Good luck

Maybe some part of your Exaust system is lose,
it can cause a vabration and clank around and make a disturbing sound.I personaly had a simalar noise but it was only apparent at idle the noise occured because 1 of my 2 brackets that held the Cat in place came loose and was vibrating against the Cat,so I just chopped off the peace that was vibrating and the noise has been gone ever since. So if this sounds like this could be the problem then check all of the exaust system parts to see if they are loose.Hope this helps you later.
