Warpseed Issues

I have been trying to get ahold of the people who work at Warpspeed for 2 weeks. And have been unsuccessful email and phone calls. Is anyone else having a issue on trying to contact them? All I need is a Y-Pipe for my 99 Cali Spec Max.

Warpspeed

Hey, I just received my new Y-pipe from them a week ago. I just went to their website and placed my order. I paid through Pay Pal. It took like a week before I heard anything so I just took a chance and paid them. On the website, you can email them too. Dennis contacted me and told me that the he will email me a tracking number when he ships it. It did take like a week before I got the pipe but I have mine installed now. They also sale magna flow catalytic converters. Okay later.

Warp Speed

Wow, looks as if us 4th Genners' are running into part issues. 4th Gens are getting older and older. LOL. Well, hopefully Dallas is doing okay. I must of gotten lucky with my Y-pipe order. I got mine 2 weeks ago. I never spoke to anyone at their office shop location. I just paid the money and crossed my fingers. I heard from Dallas through an email response 1 time and he just said, he will send a tracking numbers. I waited like 2 days and viola! The tracking number. So good luck to you guys and hopefully he return your calls.

When I ordered mine last spring I know they were busy with some other member's orders that came in before mine. I left a message for them to call and I think I got a call back in a day or two. I think they get busy working on a project then pull off and make y-pipes for a couple of days then go back to whatever else is going on.

what you guys don't know is they're in the process of moving and they're still making pipes. i would've thought that they were finished by now. i got my y-pipe back in june and the flex section is allready rusting?? i painted the rest of the pipe and that still looks great. http://www.warpspeedperformance.com/

I know that they are in the process of moving, but kinda sketchy to send someone money who you can't get ahold of. Flex pipe already rusting?? Can rust proof be put on the flex pipe?

i don't know, it's not bad but i see it rusting out in a year or 2 and they give you a 7 year warranty on the y-pipe. i think i was under warranty with the 1st one and he said it was 8 years allready. i could'nt find the receipt, ( who could? ) from 4 years ago let alone the supposed 8 so i was forced to pay for a new one.

I ordered the Magnaflow "heavy metal loaded" cat for '97 to '03. Connecticut emissions testing can be a *****.

Thanks for the heads up brother. I'll shoot it with some high temp paint. I guess that's what I'll get for a cat just north of a hundred bucks.

Have a little bit more patience, if possible. You're better off with a Warpspeed ypipe than some generic one off a ebay.

Just got the y-pipe and heavy cat delivered from Warpspeed. My mechanic's throwing it on Monday. Hope it's worth the hype.

Here's some pictures of my WS install. I replaced the header to pipe nuts with some new plated ones to keep from reusing the original rusted ones. I used copper anti-seize on the threads.

I treated the y-pipe with VHT two coats of header primer and two coats ceramic paint and let it sit out in the sun to dry. IIRC I sprayed a lot in and around the flex area also. That was last spring so it hasn't been through a winter yet.

As usual, you make your every part of your car look so nice.

But back on point, the hanger bracket is different from the one I got a year ago. I had to re-work the bracket in order to get it on. I don't think I have any pictures though.

Paid 389 for the y-pipe and magnaflow "heavy" cat. I'd show you some photos but I can't even get a profile pic to upload here. Can't figure out why.

What ceramic paint did you use? Was it VHT engine ceramic (550f) or VHT caliper ceramic (900f) paint? I'll be replacing my catback again within the next month. I'll spray on several layers of primer then ceramic paint so they'll last more than 5 years this time. My SS warspeed y-pipe has very little rust after 5 years.

Here's a pic below. 1300-2000 F

It works good on the EGR pipe below.

I used it on the water pipe below. It seems to be holding up great.

Thanks for the lead. My autozone around the corner sells these SP117 cans for $9.49 each as the website states.

Your front rocker cover and LIM has an awesome metallic shine! I painted mine with dull grey engine paint.

What's a good set of headers to get that would be compatible with the WS Y-pipe?? I know parts are getting harder to find now days for the 4th gens.

True, but we're not talking about avatars...just pics in general. Anyone can post pics, but only donating members get avatar privileges.

Finally installed the Warpspeed...

Finally got the Warpspeed Y and Magnaflow cat put on. Smoother, quicker acceleration. 2 1/2" front to back. Don't like big pipes(no real advantage) or big noise. It's got a nice low growl. I think a Y-pipe could turn up other problems. I've got a rough idle in reverse I didn't have before, looks like motor mounts.
