Reconnecting airbags, blinking airbag light.

Hey guys, I bought a Maxima from some family friends who had the airbag(s) disconnected for safety (elderly couple). But I want to reconnect them and get rid of the blinking light. Can anyone describe the steps, or link me to where I can see it done? I found the one above the glove box, but reconnecting it did not affect the blinking light. Do I need to get into the steering wheel as well? Any other safety things to reset?

There's an access door under the steering wheel that will allow you to get to the air bag connector to reconnect. For safety, you should disconnect the battery and allow 10 minutes before you connect the bag. There are numerous write-ups on the site about the reset procedure.
Note: You might want to check the SRS fuse also to make sure that wasn't removed.
