Does the battery need a charge? Does it hold a charge? Are the battery terminals clean and secure? What is the voltage across the battery terminals? Does the voltage increase significantly after a charge?

Assuming the alternator is OK you either have a bad battery or the connections of the battery and/or alternator are the problem.

ur only code is knock sensor? that will not be the problem of your dimmed lights and dies on you, your problem is probably alternator connections/bad battery.

By the way a bad knock sensor will give u bad/sluggish performance and lower Gas mileage.. so if u want to replace that to restore your bad performance on the car go right ahead. doesn't hurt to do it. u can tell a knock sensor is bad if u accelerate and hear knocking then ur rpm drops because it retards the timing to reduce the knocking.

If the 0403 code is from blinking check engine light, that is not the knock sensor. That is the TPS - Throttle position sensor or code P0120.

The knock sensor is code 0304 or P0325. If you have the knock sensor code, and it is the only code, the check engine light will not be on.

Whichever it is, neither code will keep the car from starting.

I think you have a bad battery. That would be why you can't jump start the car.

Just getting back to you all on this issue. All fixed now. It was the damn battery. I just replaced 8 months ago...didn't think it was the issue. Plus when I tried jump starting it with strangers cables it didn't start. Jump started with mine own cables, it started...they probably had **** cables... LOL

Thanks ALL!

Meter the battery terminals with the car running, what is the voltage? Should be around 14 if your alternator is properly charging the battery.

make sure your battery terminals are clean and free of corrosion, I had this problem once when I would drive and my terminals were causing my battery not to fully charge.. hence making me stranded when I would start the car, after cleaning them this has not happened the past 2 years.

You do have a bad TPS. Maybe that's part of the issue you're having now.

15.3 volts is overcharging. The max voltage is 14.5 and and very few people see that. Closer to 14 is more the norm. Sounds like the voltage regular inside the alternator is having problems.

Do you think this will be caused by błąd alternator harness? Will over charge stop the car from running like i stated above?

It could be the harness. The other wire on the alternator connector that feeds back to the battery is a sense wire. It pretty much controls how much voltage you should get. It probably is not connected well or corroded a bit. The theory is, since the connection is not good, you are getting higher resistance, and with higher resistance in the wire, the alternator thinks there is a lower voltage at the battery, therefore the regulator will increase output.
Try cleaning up the harness and connectors.
