Rear Suspension Noise - 99 SE

Rear Suspension Noise - 99 SE
Hi Gang,
Every now and then, I get a short (less than a second) burst of what sounds like an Impact Gun from the rear suspension. Not long ago I replaced the Strut Assemblies with Moog Strut Assemblies. It was less but still there.
My wife kept saying she thought it was coming from the front. So I did the same with the Front Strut Assemblies. I have everything except the last LCA assembly which is coming Thursday, to do the sway bar bushings (ES), end links and LCA's (all Moog) with new bushings and ball joints. So that will be done ASAP.
So what in the rear suspension could cause the rata tat tat tat tat in the rear. Nothing remarkable when the strut assemblies were done. Everything looked like a 16 year old Maxima.
But I will say this: The Moog Strut Assemblies really feel good, like almost when it was new. Now I'm motivated to get it the rest of the way there.
It happens when the road has it's cracks and such. Not really nasty bumps and a series of poorly filled pot holes.
Also, what are the usual replaceables for the rear suspension when they get tired after the struts? Just Links and Bushings? Would this be an easier job or a Be-otch?
Thanks in advance!

You purchased a complete assembly with springs and just swapped? Or did you disassemble and reuse your original springs? If you reused your springs, make sure the shock bushings are sandwiched correctly and are isolating the shock shaft. Also make sure the center nut is torqued down enough to hold everything in place.

Yes, I bought the whole assemblies, so the swap was easy and everything was new and aligned as it needed to be @ $100 each. The best option for what I was looking for.
As you know, these have a different rear end design. Some Voodoo type connections. LOL
Thank you!

As far as the Brakes... About 1000 miles ago, new hoses, calipers, pads, hardware sets and rotors. Bedded properly and power bled. Tight as ever.
This is something in the suspension somewhere in the back. Most likely a bushing at the end of a stabilizer bar that can flop (buzz) when it gets plucked the right way.
Or maybe the Control Arm (trailing) Bushings??? or other links and/or bushings.
I can't find anything about how to replace all the suspension parts that wear in the rear end and especially.... HOW! It has 185K miles.
I sure hope this isn't Classified Intel.

What side do the noises come from? It might not necessarily be the suspension making the noises, if noises come from passenger side, couple of things you can check, worn out padding where you store the jackstand so it is metal touching metal, lossen power antenna module mounting bolts (behind the trim panel). Someone also mentioned that trunk latch could makes noise too so check out that.

Now that's too funny.....
I replace the entire suspension and it's the antenna! Kinda goes with the territory with these 4th gens!
Thank You! Sometimes we make things more complicated than they need to be.
Jack is padded and I expand it when in the holder to make it TIGHT!. Trunk latch is tight. Antenna... Could be! I need a new one anyway! Mine stays up about 6 inches for years. Now I have rust bleeding through on the quarter panel at the bottom behind the mud flap. Probably lets more water in than when closed properly. Nothing like learning the hard way! LOL

If you want to tighten up rear end, you can check the rear lateral link (scott russell link) bushings, if not torn, at least lube them.

Now that's about as sexy as a nude picture of Both Salma Hayek AND Sofia Vergara. Maybe even more sexy! (just a little maybe) LOL
I have been looking for something like that and I guess I just didn't look hard enough!
THANK YOU!
That makes this project EXPONENTIALLY easier!
HUGE Kudos! Ya know, I might even share said picture with you!
Really... Thank YOU!
