99 Maxima Blowing out hot air only.

So my A/C has been stuck blowing out hot air only for a few weeks. I finally got around to running the diagnostic and it looks to be that I have a faulty air mix door motor. Problem is that I can't seem to locate this part as it seems to have been discontinued. (WTF?!) The part number is 27732-40U01 and is listed as <Maxima Actuator Assy-Air Mix>.

Does anyone know what the differences are between this part and 27732-40U00? I've read that they are both compatible with the digital climate control but don't know if something else is different. My car was mfg in 10/98 so it is above the cutoff of 5/98 for the later part. If anyone can point me to where I can get the 99 version of the part, even better. Thanks for reading.

Thanks for the suggestion jholley. I had already contacted nisspartzone and was informed that they cannot source the part since it has been discontinued.

The cutoff date of 5/98 is the end of the 1998 model and the start of the 1999 model.

With the part being discontinued, you don't have a lot of options. I don't know if the dealers have an inventory sharing network or not. Talk to your local dealer and see what he says. Otherwise, you will have to find a car in the junkyard for the motor.

I checked the Infiniti parts listing and it is also discontinued through them.

Ask a dealer to check into the Nissan FAST network to see if the part is sitting on some parts shelf at another dealer somewhere. The Infiniti dealer I like in Matthews NC is good about finding impossible to find parts through the FAST network.

Sent from my Z998 using Maxima

Thanks CS_AR, I had already contacted my local dealer and asked but was again informed that the part was not available anywhere.

Luckily, I have just been able to source the part from lux97Max and should be taking delivery soon.

Props to you lux97Max.
