Does this sound like calipers or steering rack?
I need new rack and pinion. Something rattles on the right of the car on any bump. Tiny bumps or big bumps but never on very ultra smooth surfaces. When I apply the brake the noise is less depending on the bump. It's not the pads. But my rack and pinion inner tie rod on the right has no boot over the ball joint and it's all greased up. I try to move it with my arm but it doesn't move. Steering is kinda off sometimes too. Also need sway bar fixed someone said. Even the sway bar is still when I try and move it

Calipers most likely.
Bracket and pins get sloppy with age.
Test it by lightly applying brakes where you usually hear rattles without; bet you don't hear it when on the brakes.
It's a good idea to fix your inner tie rod also.
Rack isn't bad unless it's leaking.

not to thread jack but i have an issue with clear liquid leaking on drivers side and it looked like oil is mixed in? i heard my steering whine during a cold spell and i topped it off and i think it's leaking from either the lower pressure line or the pump is going bad?? thanks
