R34's!!!!!! Whoa?!?!

Is this real??? I have a set(maybe even two), and I haven't been on the org as much as before but if these are the prices for these things nowadays...my retro'd set must be worth a fortune.

They raise the price when they're out of stock to hold their place.

How long have they been "out of stock" for? I remember when these were going for $200-$300 just for the lights and retro'd sets for about $600-$700

It has been very long this time, I hope they plan to make one last batch.

Does anyone know which company is the manufacturer? Maybe if we can get lots of people with interest, they'll make one last batch.

I paid $125 for a brand new set shipped to my door not too long ago from a member here.

<---- Would not pay anywhere near $200-$300 for a used set lol Most I paid was $175 new.

I bought a pair of these almost two years ago and right before I retrofitted them someone backed into my car and put some scratches on them. Then when I went to retrofit them I saw the screwing bracket was broken. Went back online to order them again a couple months after and they were $1000+. Now I see them for $900 but I would never pay more than the $179 I paid for them. The fitment is not easy anyway because they need to be modified or adjusted depending on where they come from. So paying all that money then having to cut and adjust is not worth it. IJS

Try out the retro source, they have all the adapters needed for any type of lighting and retro fits.

Thanks, I'll check them out. I was really looking forward to trying to get these installed over the weekend, but I guess it will have to wait

Yep available again for the moment, but with no wiring/bulbs and the black housings weren't taped off properly so the corner lights were sprayed black as well..should be chrome for reflective purposes like the "old" ones.

I found a site that sells the harness, but they want $40 for the set.
Kinda overpriced.

If you're on FB there is a guy on there that claims he's making them as needed for $20 plus shipping.
If you are, and interested, PM me and I'll lead you to him or I can share the link for the expensive set as well.

Do you have pics of the oversprayed area? I'm seeing the old stock photos on ebay.
Speaking of ebay, those guys are charging $130 shipping to Canada. That's nuts!

Here's the ebay sellers website.
http://www.epartsgo.com/search?sq=R34&x=36&y=10
Maybe it's cheaper there..?

^ Awesome, thanks for the pic Fakie!

Yeah, I'll have to see if I can get a friend from the US to ship them to me. The aftermarket parts vendors on ebay tend to have ridiculous int'l flat rate shipping.

Thanks for the link! It is much cheaper on their website, $24.32.

I'm going to make sure that they will use USPS. Couriers such as UPS will gouge me at the door with their absurd brokerage fees.

I like the blacked out corners better than the reflective ones. Not like they really have a purpose anyway.

I kept finding the really expensive ones when I searched with my year of maxima. eg: 97 maxima r34 headlight

I found the cheap ones when I searched: 95-99 maxima r34 headlight.

I always thought e-bay would find parts based on the year the seller states they fit and pull them up, but not for these.

Helps the light to been seen and not drowned out..Call me crazy, but I expected the picture to match to product.

I'm not trying to light the road with the corner lights, but it's nice to have them functional/brighter.

Also, I think this is a first for the mess up and no harness.
Cheap and lazy are all over it.
I'm not happy personally.

I agree the lights should have come as seen in the picture unless stated otherwise in the auction. But I have to agree the corners look better black. I actually painted mine black when this wasn't an option.

At least the price is back to what is was normally. Those sockets can be easily had for a decent price.

Yep.

If they run OOS, they will have to pull the listing off ebay and they lose money having to put it up and take it down multiple times.

Most people buy these to retro projectors in them anyway. I don't see it as a big deal that it doesn't have the hardware for lighting. They can be had cheap. Look at it this way, at least they are not 800+ dollars anymore... For now that is.

I completely agree that you should get what you order. If you like the silver reflector and the photo includes it, by all means the set you get should have it. I would be more upset over the lack of a harness. Takes all the fun out of trying to swap them in the work parking lot on a 15 minute break
