Running car with dash/airbag out?
Quick question for the gurus: is there any issues that could arise from starting the car with the dash completely removed along with all the dash buttons unplugged? Pass side airbag also removed, obviously. Im assuming i should be ok but im worried ill end up having an airbag light issue if i do this, not really sure how big of an issue that would potentially be.
Reason i ask is because i just replaced my engine harness and ecu, and im going to have the dash out for a little while i mess around with some other things (running wideband wire, speaker/radio wires, reconnecting apexi neo, etc). I want to make sure that everything is running as it should before i put the dash back in, that way i wont have to take the damn thing out again.
Any and all help on this is appreciated, thanks in advance.

Test things like turn signals and brake lights before you drive it. IIRC, years ago I had the cluster out and something like the turn signals didn't work until I plugged something back in. It might have been the emergency flasher button. But something gets routed through something else that isn't necessarily obvious.
And no, I probably coudln't be less specific if I tried...

Yeah i figured id go ahead and plug some of the button toggles back in seperate from the dash and test them as well to be safe; last thing i need is to get a ticket for something stupid like that months down the line. Glad to hear the airbag issue is no biggie as well.
Thanks for the help gents!
