P1440 code overhaul
Sup org,
So ive had this dreaded po1440 code for a while. So far ive checked and replace evap hoses that sit on top of the upper plenum, gas cap, evap canister vent control valve, vaccum cut bypass valve, evap canister and no luck. I checked my egr tube and its carbon free. Im completely stumped at this point. Here are pics of the items I want to replace, are these part of the evap system? Help is much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

hey man, i replaced that exact piece about 5 or 6 years ago after getting that code myself. i have that code again but i erased it and the check engine light is off with code running as a ghost. that looks shot to me, get another used out of the jy and see if that helps.

I would throw a used one in there if it was a easy piece to get to and change. I bought all new parts included gaskets for about 300.did the car run better ehen you replaced yours?

Well done, glad to see its finished and solved the code, one healthy and clean engine bay. by the way is the new part aftermarket?
I had a EGR 0405 i think or 0400 code back in October last year, I then started putting 93 octane gas...after about 4-5 months of randomly Revving the car to 6.5k RPM...The code went away back in march this year and has not come on ever since.. Don't know but I guess I did a rare "Italian" tune up.. Guess with higher octane gas and revving it hard breaks down the carbon that is built up in it. I never had any EGR work done at anytime the EGR code was there.went off by itself..yes the bulb works.. CEL free! 137k miles.

Check engine light was short lived...drove up to emissions PASSED! Im good for the next 2 years. I Drove 20mins later light came back on. Im determined to solve this issue tho. Yes all EGR parts and gaskets are oem. I will keep this thread updated. Car still drives like a dream. Back to the drawing board.

Update **
So after a couple of hours of reading FSM I narrowed the problem to be the absolute pressure sensor. Long story short switched that out this mourning cleared code went spirit driving ran errands got gas. CEL came back on. But po1440 is now gone...yes!! Now error code is PO400 not to hard to figure it out now at this point.
