Radiator fans

Noticed car heating up yesterday...got to poking around a little and found both fusible links blown...looked a little further and noticed melted wires coming out of fan motor...motor locked up completely...wires melted all the way to the plug! Trip to pull a part...complete fan assembly $20...spliced in new plug installed fan motor and fuses and all is good! Easy job!

From what I can see the shrouds is different for sure...but I'm pretty sure the motor is the same...just swap the motors

The actual fan is the same but the connectors are wired differently. You have to swap wires.

And please, only post one problem in one thread, not multiple threads.

I may have been a little fast in saying they work again...a/c on...they work fine....a/c off they won't come on...fuses/relays are good...both fans do work...CTS possibly? Code scanner shows temp at 214...fans should have came on right?

The fans should operate on low speed between 207deg and 220deg.

Above 221deg, the fans should operate on high speed.

Do you know if the fan shroud/assembly will swap over too?

I verified exactly what you said, and you're 100% correct that the wiring is swapped between the A33 and A32.
