1997 Maxima will not start (turnover/fire)
When I turn the ignition, the car will not star. You hear it trying to start but it never turnsover/fires The battery and alternator are good. New air filter installed. I use gas treatment/fuel system cleaner every other time I feel up with gas. Car has 245,377 miles. I know it needs a tuneup (new sparkplugs). Could this be the problem or is the problem elsewhere... anyone's thoughts?

Hmm sounds like a similar problem I had on my 99. All I did was replace the starter & that worked. Your problem might be something else but try to replace the starter & the plugs and everything should be fine.

sounds like your starter. Cranks and cranks, but no start. Also, you dont need to be putting in fuel cleaner in your engine every other fuel up. Just change your fuel filter and use premium gas or just replace the fuel filter, but if your spending extra money on fuel stabalizer you might as well just buy premium gas...
