Monroe Quick Strut question!

I recently bought these struts and they are coming in. I have a question about installation. I remember my old one installed the paper washer is it necessary for this application or do i not need it and just plug and play? Any other advice for installation would really help as well. Thanks!

Since you have some you should be able to answer this question. Does the monroe strut come with everything under the munt or do you have to reuse stuff from the originals? I'm talking about the bearings, bushings, insulators and what not.

The Monroe Quick Struts should just be a lick and stick application. You should not be reusing anything from the old strut assembly. As far as the paper insulator you can reuse it if its useable. Pretty straight forward install. You will need an alignment when done.

I wondered the same thing while installing quick struts a few months back. My paper insulators were not in great shape so I did not reinstall them with the new quick struts. Kinda wondered after the fact if I should have replaced them with new ones. Is this a big deal? This was never mentioned in any of the write-ups I read.

Go to your local auto parts store, purchase a sheet of exhaust gasket paper, cut new gaskets, install. They are there to keep water from the wheel from getting up and into the upper mount and provide a bit of isolation between the unibody and the strut.
