Anyone have luck with aftermarket spoilers?

My spoiler broke off the other day, and after pondering the alternative of plugging all 9 (!) holes in the trunk and rigging up a 3rd brake light on the rear shelf, I have decided to try to replace the spoiler.

THIS HERE is the one I seem to encounter all over the web, under various brand names. It is fairly obvious that the mounting method is different than OEM, so I may need to drill even more holes in my trunk lid... has anyone ever installed one of these with any success?

I am looking at the $99 Part number: W-1918, J-368026 spoiler on car accessory but not sure if it possible to hook up the brake light or if I need to pay someone hunderds to install it...I may just try to get a used trunk lid the intact spoiler, hopefully in OEM black color...any suggestions for 2009?

Is there something up with going to the salvage yard and getting an OE piece?

No modifications needed, other than refinishing.

Somewhat related question: If I wanted to add a spoiler to my GLE, is there a way to increase the force of the torsion springs in the trunk to compensate for the added weight?

Third the JY route. Might even get the same color, bolt and go, sort of.

I saw the write up using a Galant spoiler. I don't think any of the holes lines up though, so that might not be much better in terms of ease of install.

I picked up an OEM Spoiler from a 2009 Maxima, only $100 on Kijiji. However I don't have a "Template" fro drilling the holes...any suggestions on how to get a template?
