Mine would stall immediately after starting it. Wouldnt idle longer then a couple second. But if i gave it gas it would stay on. Ending up being one of the egr valves. The back pressure one. I deleted the egr n she runs fine now.

Have you cleaned your throttle body with throtitle body cleaner and a toothbrush lately?

This includes the throttle plate, both sides.

Classic cause of stalling.

egr code is the solenoid, sensor that goes into the guide tube or guide tube needs to be cleaned. new maf should fix your stalling issues, but a cleaning might help if you haven't already. OEM junkyard maf is reccomended over aftermarket. Why don't you start by pulling the codes and researching from there instead of throwing parts at the car?

Either way egr will affect mpg more than engine performance so I would worry about that last. Your bigger issue is with the maf.

I went to a nissan service place... the ones thats usually behind or connected to nissan dealerships. They didnt give me the codes. All they told me was that i need a new maf and that the egr valve is clogged. You think i should just clean it instead of replacing it???

You can pull the codes yourself using the screw method on your ecm or whatever its called located behing a panel on the right of your gas pedal. Very easy to do. Yes clean the egr guide tube. Theres no point in buying a new one. But I would worry about that last. I have had mine blocked for about 1.5 years now and I'm not worried about it. Worry about your maf. Spray maf cleaner in it and see if it helps. Do not clean it with a cloth just spray it. Likely it won't and you'll want to find yourself a used maf from a junkyard but if you already have a new one just use that I suppose.
