code p0303

Driving to work, I got a code p0303 and a rough idle. I suspect it is a bad coil pack. It says misfire in Cylinder 3 in my code book. I am at work without access to my manuals. Which cylinder is #3?

The back row (firewall), middle.

Do the good ol' move the coilpack to another cylinder test to see if the code moves with it.

If codes pulling for no.3 no need to swap imo, also you need to take off manifold I just suggest buy Nissan oem coils and change 1 and 3 save you labor and hassle.

Manifold does not have to be removed for the 3.0 engine (1995 to 2001), but it does for the 3.5 engine (2002 & 2003).

LOL. Clearly you're lost and belong in the 5th gen forum. No need to remove the manifold on 4th gens.

Well my bad, I drive 6th gen maxima, which is my beater don't know much about Nissan cuz I own 16 Subaru sti daily and never worked on Nissan.

Thanks everyone. I keep spare JY coil packs in my trunk. I popped one on the middle back cylinder and the car runs great again. The coil change took about 10 minutes.
