The Laurel is one of the high performance cars that came out of the Prince merger. Though it was never sold at a Prince store. It was a RWD model that shared some components with the Skyline and RWD S-chassis Nissans. It's closer to the 1st gen Maxima with a straight-six.

If you zoom in you'll see that it's a Nissan Laurel. It's a back in the day RWD Nissan sedan that was eventually replaced by the FWD Maxima.

Wish it was still RWD lol, too bad infinity took that. Guess they should of made infinity and Maxima both RWD, cause they have different styles and body lines.. so people can choose which looks they like best? just my thought. But probably 2 late now.

Heck no. Front wheel all the way for driving uphill in snow.

That said, there's a lot of Nissans out there that either never make it to America, or get assigned the luxury Infiniti badge. For example:

They're both here. Infiniti m45 and q45. That's what Im thinking I'd want next either of those especially that m45 is sick ****. The Q45 the Nissan Cedric is easier to find. Just with them being discontinued I have reservations about lack/expensive finding parts for them...and anytime you see them at a junkyard you'll ever only see 1.

The first gen Q45 was based on the Nissan President.

After the first gen, the Q45s were based on the Nissan Cima

The Q70L is also based on the Nissan Cima

If you treat them right, a big Infiniti can give many years of "trouble free" fun.

This one is 25 years old.

Hey, hey, hey...The Gloria is the Infiniti m45. I think those are one the rarest and hardest to find cars as far as popular automakers go. That's a 300+ HP V8 rear wheel. Same as the Q45.

If anything the Hyundai looks like it. But I don't think they look alike.

Idk why, but the older infinitis seem like the epitome of luxury different from the typical Mercedes or BMW. The q45 reminds me of when the new Lincoln town cars came out back in 1994-95. Except they weren't slow bulky American cars with tons of bull**** electrical features that would go bad by year 2000. Something you'd take on a long trip. I feel the same way about Jaguar.

The station wagon model never made it here. The Max was being marketed in America as 4 door sports car, and the i30 as its luxury version. A station wagon would detracted from that image. I could sure use one of those now tho.

To think that Nissan took a model that had a nice grill, then removed it for the American market.

Toyota must have been like but then kept quiet and laughed all the way to the bank as Lexus trounced Infiniti. All because of a simple grill delete.

Then Infiniti put the grill back, and it wasnt even a good one

They should have just brought that president over as is to the US.

The Nissan Laurel

Being from Trinidad and Tobago in the caribbean they have cars from Japan, Europe, and the US and the Laurel was a nice car my dad had one, the Nissan March aka Sentra. If you want to really check out a car that nissan still makes for the Mexican market look up the 1994 Sentra on google in mexico they make new ones up until 2004 with the same shape because the people there like it a lot and did not want it to change.

I Googled "Mexican Nissan Sentra" and immediately saw "Horrifying Crash Test Against A Modern Car Shows Why Mexico's Nissan Tsuru Is No More"

I wonder if the grill was too "American" looking. I like Infiniti, lex, Nissan and Toyota but compared to Chrysler, Cadillac, and Lincoln...the Japanese cars never were big on big heavy grills. The new Infiniti QX80 is like the biggest SUV grill I've seen on a Japanese SUV.

Lucky ****ers to be able to afford some **** like that. I be like don't laugh at me for my old car, all infinitis on the road now are the offspring of the maxima and defunct i30 lol.
