Clear Bumper Lights - 2nd set - different 4th gen
This afternoon I sealed set of clear bumper lights to get ready for installation.
This is an old topic and many of us are already running clears.
A few years ago, I installed a set of Ebay clears. They still look good. No leaks.
For the benefit of some of our newer members that may be considering clear bumper lights, I want to note that clear sealant prevents leaks so the lights will last. Here's a picture of a set that I finished sealing a few minutes ago.
You can see the sealant around the edges in the picture. It was still tacky when I snapped this picture.
The bulbs that I use are also in the picture.
Link to where I purchased the lights for $23.70.

This afternoon I installed the new clears. I want to share a couple of bulb tricks that I learned from other members. This is nothing new. I just want to share the pictures.
So the lights do not have an "egg yolk" look with a yellow bulb sitting in the middle of a clear enclosure, I ruff up the top of the bulbs with some sandpaper, then spray with some silver paint.
Here's how the clear lights look after amber bulb installation.
