Speaker Upgrades?
I'm looking to replace the front door speakers of my 1998 Maxima SE that comes with the Bose system. Does anybody know of any speakers that could replace or upgrade from the ones in my maxima? Preferably looking for only plug n play kinda work needed

You can try crutchfield. Just put the vehicle info in and search the available speakers. They also have helpful phone reps to answer any questions you may have

IIRC, there's one or two more that do the same thing, so SEARCH. Hopefully 4th Gem Clarion/Bose has not timed out for aftermarket support.
Cause if you replace any component in this "SYSTEM" to anything other, everything goes sideways.

If there is such a thing. I see 2 ohm available, power output would be reduced. They may not sound good with the Bose radio and amps but who knows. It's a can of worms trying to adapt anything to Bose.

No... You need a COMPLETE REPLACEMENT! It's not just 1 OHM speakers... It's also the POWER AMP that's built into the Speaker assembly that would be gone too. And nobody makes aftermarket amps at the right wattage at 1 OHM..... The Clarion Head unit only puts out signals like a preamp. And it's adapted to the ability of the speakers and not a flat frequency response.
