painting.

Is there a "how-to" result on how to paint my GLE tails and make them look like SE tails, ive spent about 45 minutes searching now and cant find anything, some help qould be appreciated,thanks

well... it's not exactly very "SE", but it's dark enough to have some "SE" effects, yet light enough to see the 5th gen tail crystal things.

that would actually be perfect its kind of unique,especially in new england i have yet to see it on ANY car let alone a maxima, where can i get em??

I popped my tails out and used flat black, bout 4coats. I made a stencil of the 2 round areas stuck them on and painted over them. Came out nice, has lasted bout 4yrs now, still looks great.....those are the only rear shots i have 4 now.

if you paint them, make sure you put 2-3 coats of clear so the paint doesn't scratch off over time.

I disconnected and popped out the whole tail light housing. Be careful near the sealant arround the tail light, u need to keep tht intact, to keep water out. U might want to pick sum up(sealant) just in case, i was fortunate not to need it. Other then that...paint...then clear coat. I wud go with flat no gloss....gud luck
