tightening the Throttle cable
YES I DID SEARCH, the only ones i found was for the 4th gen and i know its a lost smiler to the 5th but still the guy said theres 2 8mm bolts hear the throttle body and the only bolt i see near the throttle body is the one holing the bracket that holds the cable holder and its like a 12mm bolt. other than that the only one i can think of is put some kind of spacers by the gas pedal, can any one help me out please, coz its loose about 1.5"
Also how lond do the head gaskets on these max's last how do i know if its about to blow? coz i want to clean my intake manifold and if i take it off i have to replace the gasket and it cost money$$ and if the head gasket blows any time soon i have to spent $$ on intake manifold gasket twice
btw my car has 147K

They are not 8mm bolts. They should be either 12mm or 14mm. It's the easiest thing to do man. Just follow the throttle cables (1 for cruise control and 1 for your right foot) from the firewall all the way to the throttle body. You seriously cant miss it. counting both cables, there are 4 bolts. 2 to adjust it and 2 to tighten it again. If you really cant figure this out, close your hood, take it to a mechanic and dont try to do anything else to your car. No offense, but it's that simple.
The intake manifold gasket is so cheap and easy to get off, I wouldnt stress about changing it twice. In most cases, as long as the rest of your cooling system is up to par, the headgasket will be fine. Pressure from a clogged cooling system is USUALLY the cause of a blown headgasket.
And no offence, but if you cant figure out how to tighten the throttle cable, you cant take off your intake manifold, and if you cant take that off, you will never get to the headgasket, and if you cant do all that, you probably cant re-time your motor... Not trying to discourage you, I just dont want you to take your car apart and not be able to get it back together.
