Need help with VQ35 swap

I just purchased 02 Maxima SE 6 speed. The problem is that the previous owner broke the water pump, overheated the engine and as a result the head gasket is blown and one of the connection rods broke. I am going to pull the engine out and swap another one in. My questions are:

1. Where can I find an engine?
2. What engine should I buy?

I have done a good amount of research and it seems like the best thing to do is get 05-06 maxima/altima/quest engine.
I want to buy lower miles engine and avoid the oil burning issues of early vq35s. I am going to daily drive the car, so I am looking for relatively cheap engine that required little modification to go in the maxima. If I need to swap oil pans and intake it will be fine, but I want to keep things simple. Any help and input are appreciated.

Anyone else wants to offer input. I have a shop that will do the swap. I just need to get an engine. I have been thinking of getting either 05 or 06 maxima engine. Just so I can keep things simple. Let me know what you guys think.

Someone listed a link that had VQ35's going for $500-$700 a piece, if you look around I'm sure you can find a cheaper one than a grand. Have you tried using the searchbar?

Good luck on your engine swap!

I found some on car-part.com, some in the 2 grand range, some in the couple hundred range. Didn't look in depth, but they're there.

04+ should be the range of 3.5's that youre looking at.

Thank guys. I am thinking of getting 05-06 maxima engine just to keep things simple. I have been checking car-part.com regularly. Just want to keep my options open. If anyone has any other ideas or input for an engine or where to purchase from let me know. Thanks

I am planning on buying the engine and dropping it in, so I do not think I will need the head gaskets, but thanks.
