P0113, 2k1 to 2k2 MAF swap, ANNOYING!
So when I did the 2k1 to 2k2 MAF swap, swapped the IAT sensor and now CEL. It's been on actually since the MAF blew three weeks ago. I need to pass emissions and this is my only code I'm throwing.
Thinking of taking the MAF apart, re-installing the IAT again and undoing the battery terminal...letting it sit and seeing if that does anything. I cleared it two days ago and it came back. Anyone else who has done this swap having this issue? I want to stand by this swap, but if I can't pass emissions, I might have to reconsider

Isn't P0113 the code for your IAT, and not the MAF? Have you taken the MAF out and eyeballed the IAT sensor... maybe it came lose when you swapped it?
If the sensor itself is damaged, you can buy a replacement sensor all by itself. 2slow is running that experiment right now, in the same thread where you got inspired to do this swap in the first place. Last I read, he was still running without a SES.

I currently do not have a CEL with the replacement thermistor.

OK, so P0113 means circuit had a high input. Now assuming the MAF you bought is good, I would say that either: a) sensor is bad or b) harness/connectors are bad.
Based on the process starting at EC-196 in the FSM, you should verify 5 Volts at pin 5 of the MAF connector (car on). You should then verify continuity between pin 3 and ground (car off).
Those pins (5 & 3) should directly correspond to the two terminals sticking out of the MAF that hold the thermistor, so you should run the same tests on those.
However, first thing I would check is the resistance of the thermistor...at room temp (77F), it should be around 2K Ohm.
And since P0113 means high input, I would guess the thermistor may be internally shorted (corresponding to a resistance much lower than 2K Ohm), a short in the MAF connector between pins 3 and 5, or a short in the harness between those pins either along the length of the wire or at the ECM.

Wow, excellent information. I will attempt to measure resistance today and check pins 3 and 5. Thank you guys for all the contributions. I shall keep you all updated.
Also, 2slow: With your situation, were you throwing a CED prior to the Honeywell thermistor transplant, soldered this in, and then the CEL disappeared?

Well on my way home from work yesterday, it turned off. Which is a relief. I was only throwing that code. Apparently I am good to go now! All I did was clean the thermistor and re-clamp. I don't know why that helped. I now have an order of 5 thermistors on the way that I will not need. Oh well! If anyone needs one, let me know.
