imo the only mod you should consider with your grill is a badgeless one. otherwise dont touch it. you'll regret it. i do.

see sig, i have the ss grille for 5th gens and i wish i had stayed stock.

I say if you are changing color, black on charcoal paint.
Anomaly might have missed out on an easy sale here...

On an 02 you have more options than us 00-01 guys. There's a badgeless oem-style carbon-fiber grill on ebay (if you want to spend the dough) that doesn't look half bad (especially on your car color ).

Otherwise, you should count your oem grill as an option if you can.

I think it depends on the car's color, C mod or paint stock with plasti dip.

Mine turned out rather well IMO, and for under $8.

This one has grown on me.

I've considered removing the Nismo emblem and installing a Nissan burger in the center. I may try it with another peice of mesh and see.

I thought these were the "C mod" grills but my terminology may be off. Either way, they look damn good when painted the same color as the car

That's right. Photos of these on-car always look pretty good, and better yet when painted well. They come in paintable flat-black, and carbon fiber.

Always wanted to see one installed and in-person. As of yet, I've not been able to bring myself to buy one and see. The mesh behind the c-mod grill is a bit of a turn-off (in pictures), and I rather like the Nissan burger.

thought you made an 'official' thread about changing the grille...it gave all the options, etc.

Me? I can't do anything "official", purpleboi. I'm just a regular schmuck, like you. But I did create a thread last year exploring this idea on my car with some photoshop visuals. Here:

Grille difference between '02 and '03? Nope. As I said...

In other words, these are not the droids you are looking for.

Regarding the "light blue", I also said this in that thread:

We're going to have to work on your reading comprehension, buddy.

for now...i removed the grill..painted it flat black with some Trim paint...removed the burger, primered it and painted it the same color as the car. looks pretty good...but i really liek the grill with the horizintal slats..rather than just all mesh. looked on ebay and didn't see anything like that there.

So the burger is back on, but painted to match the car against a flat-black grille? That sounds like it could look good, depending on the car color.

Pictures, please.

You need to use a host website like www.photobucket.com
upload them there, then they have a handy "IMG" code all ready for you, just click it, it copies automatically, then paste it into your post here on the .ORG

If you can't figure it out, google it. Lots of instructionary vids, etc.

I'll admit, I was expecting to think it would look silly. But it actually made a good first impression. Kind of a shocker to see you painted the letters red, but it makes sense that if you went dark with the burger, the letters needed to go light. I'm on the fence about the red... however, my engine cover burger has red letters, and I love it there.

Not bad, man. I think... I like it. Props for creativity!

Shame about your foglights, but that's an easy replacement. Odd thing about your headlight lenses... must be the water that's making them look that way.

yeah...i have one that has some moisture in it...not sure how to clear that issue up...comes and goes. both foglights were broken, but i found one good one and hopefully will have another soon. i only bought the car last fall......

After i painted the burger the dark charcoal...the "nissan" could hardly be seen....in hindsight..maybe a light grey or even silver would have been better than the red....maybe i will buy a couple of the burger badges and try some different paint schemes.
ideas anyone?

The red isn't bad, but kind of Mattel-ish (as in, Hot Wheels). Try silver in the letters, with the burger body colored.

Or just don't put LED strips in your headlights. That's a pretty good idea, too.
