Minimum to retain VIN?

If your MT Maxima gets destroyed after spending big bucks on a 2016+ engine, is it advisable to get a donor junk, rust-free Maxima, possibly even a donor with an AT and get back to where you were?

Retain VIN? As in swap your VIN to another chassis?

I mean you could but personally I prefer to stay out of prison.

I would keep the VIN plate as a souvenir and look for another MAX or I35 to swap parts over. most likely it would be an AT

🤔 Maybe even a B15 Sentra to save money and weight.....
