http://www.ebay.com/itm/1380-00-01-Nissan-Infiniti-SHOCKS-STRUTS-Full-Set-4Pcs-NEW-Warranty-/321110808399?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Year%3A2001%7CMake%3ANissan%7CModel%3AMaxima&hash=item4ac3b2174f&vxp=mtr
Seems like a crazy good price...I also need a few boots as mine are torn up.

I would be afraid of those things. $129 shipped? I doubt that they would last very long.

Can you say cheap? Those things are made by the Zhejiang Sensen Auto Parts Co., Ltd. in China, shipped to the U.S., shipped to the person you are buying them from and shipped to you. The manufacturer, the importer/distributor and the person you are buying them from are all making money on these things as well as the shipping companies.

If you are keeping the car, go with a known brand like Monroe. Yes, they will cost more, but you can drive the car with piece of mind.

Dude, check their feedback. Sort by negative. Every other one says worst quality, and horrible experience. If you want crap quality and no service, you found what you want.

I wouldn't. Like DennisMik said, they're shipped through a couple different people, all of which are making money from it. I would get Monroe or KYB. I have KYB all around and they were fairly inexpensive. Also, consider the ride quality your looking for.

i checked all over ebay, and rockauto has the best prices. i priced it out for my 03 and sensens are pretty cheap. i have sensens on the rear with my eibach springs on them and they have held up for about a year with no problems. i didnt expect them to last this long especially on a dropped spring. i could only imagine they would last longer and ride better on OEM springs. not sure if the ones you posted are actually sensen shocks though, i think theyre different prices on rockauto. you would have to get the part numbers off the shocks and compare them.

KYB GR-2's can be had for $300 shipped.

I wouldn't go with anything else.

I have a set on my 4th gen. First sitting on sprint springs, now on stock and es everything. 2 years and no problems, for the money they are great. Plus ALL new struts from what I can tell are manned in China.

i tried a set like those a while back. lasted about a year before they leaked. it up to you, if you just need to sell the car, these would work, if you are keeping the car, spend the extra money to get better struts/shocks that will last.

I ran them on my 4th gen for about 6 months. I liked them. good fit and finish. Rode really well and took the abuse from Tein Stechs and we all know how harsh those are.

I was going to post this same thing.
So I'll be going with some name brand ones.

Which are better kyb or monroe?
Also I'm looking on ebay and they're only selling right front or just rears.

Do you know where I can get a whole set at a good price?

Monroe OEspectrum struts are pretty good and feel about the same as the Oem struts. The Monroe sensa trac suck cuz the are way too bouncy. Kyb gr2 are better than the Monroe cuz they are stiffer and have dual tubes. Rockauto has pretty good prices on struts.

Been running Sensen struts on my '02 for a year now matched to a set of eBay blue lowering springs. Seem good so far. Cheap crap, yes!, but so far so good...

...but for the money I would never buy Monroe struts. Especially since KYB GR2's are similarly priced and even in most cases cheaper.

KYB GR2's aren't bad for $285 for all 4. You won't get the bouncyness or road vibration like some of the cheaper struts have. Also change out the front strut mounts and bearings while your at it, they are well worth chaning out.

KYB USED to make good struts... now the GR2 are gone (no more silver KYB struts) the new kybs are now excel 2 or something like that... if you can find a set of silver KYBs then go for it... if not get the tokicos... I have a set of "replacement" struts on my maxima found on carpartwholessale... about 30K latter those are starting to get weak... but that gave some time to actually get my maxspeed springs and tokicos... all I am trying to say is that any new non brand name strut is better than the OEM tokico if your are leaking or blown...

Not sure if it is the same brand but I tried a similar set from eBay on my 3rd gen and it rocked and swayed like a boat. About a month later I noticed all the struts were wet and leaking.

Ive now got roughly 13,000 miles on all 4 these yellow sport shocks with eibach springs. why buy expensive shocks? if you spend $500 on jus struts why not just buy coil overs?

Confirmed via part #'s included in the kit as well.

For 00-01: KYB 334265, 334266 and 2x 341271 OR 341341 (whichever is cheaper)
For 02-03: KYB 334366, 334367, and 2x 341271 OR 341341 (whichever is cheaper)

Yes, I have that memorized

The more expensive shocks are going to give more dampening over bumps and absorb more vibration at highway speed. It all depends on what you are looking for in ride quality when buying struts.

KYB Excel-G vs GR-2

I recently ordered a set of KYB Excel-G's frt & rear, and was inadvertently sent a frt Rt GR-2 and an Excel frt Lft.....

If they are in fact the same; then how do you explain this?:

http://youtu.be/ELnJ4mCMjfA

Tested on 3 different occasions with the same result.

Interesting, but I don't think this is a case for them being different. It seems the dampening rates are only different at the end/edges of the decompression - they seem to decompress at the same rate in the middle phase.

I've done this same comparison across probably a dozen different Excel G and GR-2 with the same results above - identical decompression rates in the middle phase.

Additionally, I've yet to see a single person (myself included) that feels any noticeable difference between the two.
