p1456 code won't go away!!

I have replaced the canister, solenoid valve and gas cap. I took it to a shop for a smoke test and they found no leak! My SES light won't stay off. What else can I do?

The battery was disconnected from the car for more than a day while it was being recharged. Wouldn't that reset the codes?

No. Either use an OBD tool or do the ecu reset procedure.

I reset the ecu with an OBD II tool. It was fine until I reached 75 miles and then it came on again! What else could I do?

Does a misfire cause it to come up? The reason I ask is because I replaced the coils this week, but as I was doing it, I didn't have a couple hooked up and it misfired as I tried to start it a few times. I tried to shut the engine off as soon as I noticed the misfire so I could remedy the problem, but did the ECU pick up it on that quick. I do not have a misfire code registered, but I have the EVAP leak code again.

I have developed some exhaust leaks and replaced some of the the exhaust on the car but not the down pipe from the manifolds to the catalytic converter. Would an exhaust leak up there cause an EVAP leak and a check engine light? I have read that some people have replaced their precat along with the valve and canister and the p1456 code has resolved. Thoughts?

Has anyone had to replace the 2 way valve near the gas tank?

Check gas cap (seriously LOL), canister and hose for cracks

idk about the valve or solenoid on the IM. I'd go to the junk yard and grab all of the parts and swap out one at a time.

Screw emissions. I run no cats on everything I can
