What "MODS" Have you done Using parts from other Makes?

Hey Everyone!

I thought this would be a cool way to share if any of you guys/gals have used parts from other Makes to mod into your Maxima?

Coming from the previous cars im coming from and a history of cars and the fact i enjoy trollin' around at a junk yard...I have fabbed up many Parts from Other Makes/models into a then current car.

Examples needed?? Some are from my past days (Spoilers, Taurus Single Din cupholders i30 shade, jaguar vip tables in rear, luxury leather embroided oh shi* handles, lexus caps, darth vader bimmer seats etc....) Far out Custom Fabbed Body work counts as well.

In my late teens i used to have a blast at the junk yard and imagining a bunch of foreign parts in my teggy at the time

RIMS do not count in this case/Perhaps spare us from the 6th gen bbk upgrades and the like...I truly mean a different kinda mod. There fore universal things like leds dont count.

If anything; this turns into a new rolling Custom Mods Pic Page Lets see who has the wildest imagination and the deepest pockets!

As far as I can think, nothing crazy but I put on some brakes from a 350z (2006) on my max. After that I planned on slapping on some Porsche brakes and I probably still might. Also there's an Oldsmobile ( late 90's/ early 2000's) that has a stock throttle body spacer that fits ours. Its like an inch and a half though lol.

^^First I heard of a tb spacer from an oldsmobile. Anyone with more info?

Last junkyard run, i got a few under hood lights to fab up. Its a small light box on many caddis/buicks. Iv wanted to find a under hood lighting solution for some time.

Well its still a work in progress, none are a direct fit, I am drilling the VQ35 tb bolt pattern into the mustang tb, have to adapt the throttle cable holster, tps, and iacv. I am using an aftermarket 75mm tb for an old 5.0.

For your 5.5 gen, according to your profile, the only option is a 7th gen tb.

Its possible, but I wouldn't bother putting one on a 3.0. The pathfinder tb (70mm) is much easier to install and requires very little hacking.

VQ30DE vs VQ30DEK

I don't know if this has been established yet but 2000-2001 is the only production maxima with the VQ30DE-K so as far as mods go, lets define ,the vehicle is first please.

I've always wanted to own a junkyard to make a frankenstein machine....with so many vehicles produced there's gotta be something that fits from one make to another even with a little reworking/machine work! It's exciting to venture thru this and that vehicle and swapping stuff around or seeing what is necessary to make it fit! It's almost as good as sex!

After a young girl hit my 1998 dodge neon in front of my home I salvaged some parts. I installed some billet radiator brackets I bought from Deyeme Racing. They fit just fine on my Maxima (2000 SE 5 speed)and are rust free! I also have led trunk lighting I bought from BT on Nissanclub.com which i removed from the neon and they will soon be on my Maxima.

I know it's been done by a couple other org. members but i recently did an s13 power folding mirror swap. I used the guts and transfered them to my mirror casing and ran the wires and harness into the casing and used my stock heated glass to retain my mirror defrost so i'd have heated power folding mirrors which i think is pretty neat. Thanks go out to DMad and GRNMAXDMON for some of their help along the way im now just trying to make a better ground for them for a little better power on the folding part but overall they do work well.

Did this happen on a 92 maxima? Power folding mirrors are super functional and a hot mod. Props!

i considered the S2K antenna actually, but found a great deal on this one, plus i dont think there are many 4th gens around anymore with functioning OEM antennas, or hood shocks lol

Actually yes it is a 92 but im sure it would work on all 3rd gens. Just a little tinkering and trial and error and a little help and advise along the way.
