Its not even used by 350z people anymore. It comes locked so users cant even make adjustments.

If you want a powerful tuning system for 5.5 gen my Haltech system www.VoltageDrop.net

If you want a decent tuning system thats budget friendly get UTEC

well... in mind , im not gona tune it myself or even play with it (dyno tune)... but is there realy a point in spending $1k on a used ecu... when im only going AFR and timing... with full breather and exhaust mods... and hopefully summer add cams... $250 utec > $1k Haltech... if i save on ecu/tuning i get closer to jwt cams+springs+retieners )))

thanks on info on f-com

IVT adjustment is very important. Utec won't cut it if you want to maximize the potential.

yeah thats fine if you dont tune it, but a F con you have to take to a HKS tuner. a Haltech can be taken to any haltech vq35 tuner.

It all depends on your goals for the car, if you want a well built, properly tuned car then do that. If you want a budget setup thats fine but cams probably would not happen anyway.

my plans full breather and exhaust mods installed and tuned mid january ... mid march BBK and coilovers... and mid july cams... ( all mechanical labor = free ...my dad owns a shop ) , but no doubt if i ever do turbo gona upgrade to a haltech...

wen i get utec ill hit u up for a harness,

tho to bad there isnt anything with newer software then utec but not as expenisve as a haltech... something in between them...

I'd say HALTECH is your best bet. UTEC is pretty good.

Like Darren said HKS Fcon Vpro is non end user tunable but it has a LOT of functionality.

You can unlock the software for it and tune it at a regular non HKS shop, however by the time you get the unit, patch harness for Maxima, and unlock it, you are over $1k in it.
