Beck/arnley thermostat-strange behavior

I've noticed since I installed this thermostat that my temp gauge warms up quicker and my fans basically stay on 80% of the time but gauge never gets to halfway. Has anyone else noticed this with this thermostat?

Thermostats are a part I get OEM only.
I hear about more problems than not with aftermarket.

Double check to make sure all air is burped out of the system. Park on a steep incline or raise car up with a jack. Remove radiator cap. Start and run car. Give it gas up to 1500rpms for a few minutes. Wait until fans kick on. Give it gas up to 1500 rpms for a few minutes again. See if any air bubbles come out.

i had this problem with a rockauto thermostat, nothing is wrong with your car, i bled it 10 times and ppl told me head gasket and waterpump and kept telling me to bleed the system, guess what, i bought an OEM thermostat and problem fixed, my fans were on 100 percent of the time once warmed up and never turned off and would go to high speed and the temp gauge stayed the same. oem thermostat fixed all that. dont know why but it was cheaper at nissan too
